When should I take backup?

It is advisable not to take backup while you are using the computer. The backup might fail if it tried to backup the files which are currently in use.

Choose a time when you wont be using the computer. My computer runs the backup automatically at 11 PM every night.

What to Backup?

This depends on how and where you save your files, photos, etc. Normally the folders below should be backed up.

  • My Contacts
  • My Documents
  • My Music
  • My Pictures
  • My Videos
  • Favourites
  • Desktop
  • Outlook Emails
  • Windows Live Mail

There is no need to backup the whole user profile or the C drive. 99% of those files are of no use and it takes a lot of space.

How to backup?

We recommend you to keep multiple backups if possible
